It is with deep sadness that I am writing to you following the news of Steph’s husband Robert, who died unexpectedly in the early hours of Monday morning following a stroke.
We are all so shocked by this news and feel for Steph and her family. We pray for comfort and love to surround them all at this time.
Robert's funeral will take place at St Peter's Church Tiverton on Thursday 30th November 2023 at 11.30am with Bishop Jackie officiating. Steph says no need to wear black (unless you prefer). St Peter's are also working towards live streaming this service, we will keep you updated with these details.
Steph is currently on compassionate leave and is likely to be away from her duties until after Christmas.
During this time I will be working closely with all the church wardens to ensure the smooth running of the Exe valley services and associated life event ministries. I have the help and oversight of Revd Andy Humm, Rural Dean and Andrew Beane, Archdeacon.

Steph is so grateful to you all for the the love shown in the cards (51 cards arrived today!) and food parcels she is receiving from you. Feeling loved and supported, Steph also has many of her family and friends visiting her over the coming weeks.
