Loxbeare March Round Up

It is good to see signs of spring with many flowers and bids already making their appearance giving us hope of longer & warmer days.

Christmas seems so long ago now but we thank all who prepared services, took part, decorated the Church, or helped in any way over the Christmas season to bring joy & blessing to others as we celebrated Jesus' birth.  For those who went carol singing, provided supper & those who gave donations.  Thank you.

Also thanks to Sue & helpers for organising the party on Jan 14.  An enjoyable & fun evening.

Our services for March/April start with coffee, cake & chat on the 5 March at 10.45.  The 12 will be a cluster service also at 10.45.  Mothering Sunday on 19 begins with a breakfast in the Hall from 9.30, followed by a service also in the hall.  Do come & join us.
Palm Sunday on 2 April at 10.45 will, weather permitting, include a procession with hopefully a donkey or pony to reenact Jesus' entry into Jerusalem on a donkey.  Easter Sunday on the 9 will be Holy Communion Service with Steph at 9.30.  The APCM will be held after the service at 10.45 on 16 April.

There will be  PCC meeting on 28 March at 7.30.

We continue to pray for Stephen & all who are unwell or recovering from covid, flu & cold viruses etc.  Trust everyone will soon be feeling better.

Happy birthday to all who have birthdays in March/April & anyone celebrating special occasions.

On 11 March we will be having a soup lunch, instead of cream tea, 12.30-2.30 in the Village Hall, and then on 8 April we will be back to cream tea 3-4.30.  Donations for both events for charity.

April 3 will be Bingo in the Village Hall, doors open at 7, for eyes down at 7.30.

Looking forward to May, celebrating King Charles III Coronation.  Details are not finalised yet, but we are planning to have a flower & craft festival in the Church which will be open during the day on 6,7 & 8.  Decorating will be on Friday 5.  There will be a meeting to decide on details on 13 April in the Church at 7.30.  Everyone welcome.  There is being planned a concert on Saturday 6 at 7.  There will also be another meeting on 27 April in the Hall to finalise celebrations.
