Loxbeare August Update 2020

Well it is good writing these notes that lockdown is easing for most with care. We trust & pray that everyone is keeping safe & well, and as at the last magazine here in Loxbeare we again say a big thank you to all who & are still showing care & help to others who still can't or do not feel comfortable shopping etc.

We have several good things to report this time which is great.  Congratulations to Andrew & Christine Radford on their marriage & wish them every blessing & happiness together.  We send our love & good wishes to Ronald & Rosemary Perry on their recent golden wedding.  Many congratulations also to Ron & Margaret Tidball who will be celebrating their diamond wedding anniversary on the 14 September.  We pray God's blessings on them both & thank them for all the love & work they have put into the Church & Village life over all those years.  May God grant them good health & many more years together, as I know they both feel very blessed for their happy 60 years of marriage.  We also congratulate Maurice & Marline Taylor on becoming great grandparents again.  A little boy born to John & Pam's youngest daughter Lisa.  Alan & Viv's daughter Lucy has also recently had a little girl.  We welcome Oran, Marie, Jay, Cody, Taylor, Emily, Jesse & Maisy who have moved into Loxbeare and are converting the barn at Churchill Croft.  We hope you will be very happy living in the Village.

Happy Birthday to all with birthdays & those celebrating special occasions in August & September.

There will be opportunity for those who wish to have private prayer at the Church.  Unfortunately, due to restrictions the church will not be open all the time. If any would like to take this opportunity, please phone Carol on 01884 8814802 so that she can take your names & open the Church for you.

We pray for those who are feeling unwell, receiving treatment, or awaiting operations/appointments.

We pray for our children & young people as their education has been so disrupted.  We think especially for those who were unable to take their exams & thrust they will be assessed correctly & given the right grades for their future jobs, college, or university.  We remember the children in year 6 who will be starting new schools in September that the transition will not be hard for them.  We remember the teaching & administrative staff in the difficult task of making sure all are kept safe.

May the lockdown continue to ease & may we be spared another spike of Coronovirus.  Keep Safe.
