Loxbeare May Update

We trust and pray that everyone has kept safe, well and not feeling too lonely and isolated.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to all whether locally, nationally & worldwide who have suffered & been really ill with the coronavirus and also especially for families who have lost loved ones.  We pray for all those in isolation and are feeling very lonely and in need of a friendly chat/hug.  For parents looking after children 24/7 and taking on the task of home schooling.

We really are so appreciative and thankful that living where we do we are surrounded by countryside & can enjoy a measure of freedom.  We here in Loxbeare are so grateful to all who have shown care and concern for others, doing shopping, running errands & telephoning others to make sure everyone is okay & to offer support & encouragement.  It is so good in these unprecedented days to feel part of a community that cares & to witness the goodness of human nature, feeling God's love many times demonstrated through family, neighbours & friends.

We thank God for the dedication & sacrifice of all medical staff and care workers etc who have put their own lives at risk, and for many key workers and their families.

Ron has received a kind telephone call from 'Open Doors' who support and help persecuted Christians throughout the world and were given half of the carol singing collection at Christmas, inquiring how we all are and very kindly assuring us of their prayers at this uncertain and worrying time.

We pray for all who are unwell at this time.  For Cecil undergoing his treatment & any others who are poorly.  We pray for comfort for all who have lost loved ones recently.

We are pleased to hear some good news, that Anne Acklands granddaughter Emily is engaged and we offer her & her Fiancé our congratulations and best wishes for the future.

Happy Birthday to all with birthdays in June & July.  We remember those who are disappointed at having to postpone weddings & special occasion celebrations.

A belated welcome to Andy & Sarah who have moved into Daw's Cottage.  We hope you will soon settle & be very happy living in Loxbeare.

So very little news but lets keep praying & believing that ;this too will pass' & that one day soon we will be able to meet loved ones and friends.  God is faithful & will watch over us.  God bless.  Keep safe & look after each other.
