Stoodleigh Round Up for 2018 so far
2018: Our first event for 2018 was a coffee morning on a wonderful sunny May day at Barns Cottage. Many enjoyed the lovely garden and the result of the morning, including a raffle, was over £220.
The Dog Show on 11th August was a happy successful event with £800 being raised shared between the church and the parish hall. We are grateful to the Judge, Lesley Thwaites and Fred and Pat Robinnson for again allowing the event to take place in their paddock. Despite a rather mizzly day, many people and dogs braved the elements, enjoying the show of dogs, stalls and refreshments of cream teas and pimms. See the Stoodleigh web site for a full report.
The annual Ploughmans Lunch was held at Champles Barn by kind invitation of Peter and Christine Broadbent. Despite slightly inclement weather the day remained dry and the occasion was enjoyed by all. Just over £300 was raised for the church.
