Bible Study

We have concluded our Bible Study on 1 John, and had a good time praying for the children in our parishes, those who have been baptised. As Robert and I are having some time off in October we will have a break until the first week of November. More details will follow.

What’s ahead

Our churches are open for Holy Communion at 11.15am each week. Next week, 11th October, we will be at Cruwys Morchard. It is essential that you book a seat in church via the church office, on 01884 250417 or email office@exevalleymissioncommunity.org or by leaving a message on the answerphone by 11.00 am on the Friday before the service.

Please contact the wardens if you would like to attend.

If you are booking by email it would be helpful if you could:

  • Please put the date and venue of the service you wish to go to in the subject box e.g. Cruwys Morchard 11 October 2020.
  • If you are booking for others, as well as yourself, please give names and contact details for Test and Trace.
  • Please also let us know If you are in a bubble and can therefor sit together.

We will confirm whether you have booked successfully either by phone or by email. If you are unable to attend, please can inform the office if you know by Friday 11.00am OR the Church Warden from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning.

Loxbeare are having a service of Evening Praise on 11th October at 3.00pm. Please contact the wardens if you would like to attend.

Lay-led services will need to be booked via the relevant Warden(s) NOT the office.

Further details will be sent by email or put on the website during the week. Government guidance asks us all to wear face masks when in church.

Harvest

Please join in with our Exe Valley and St Peter’s Online Harvest which will be available to view throughout October on the website. This will include harvest songs, prayers and photographs taken locally. We hope that you will find it uplifting. Perhaps you could meet with a couple of others in your bubble and watch it together? Our thanks to Stephen Roche for his creativity and enthusiasm.

I have nearly finished writing the 100+ cards we are sending to farmers in our Mission Community to say thank you to them for all that they do for us. Please pray that God will bless them, their families and the land they care for.

Justin Montague

It is a great pleasure to welcome Justin to the Mission Community and to have his company this week. I know he has met quite a few of you already. Let us pray for Justin, thanking God for his calling and asking for God’s blessing for his future ministry.

And may God richly bless you all this coming week,

Steph
